with all the snow and soot i’ve been seeing from my new york apartment window this january week, these black and white photos seem appropriate for this weather and locale. if india is ‘brown’ dirty, i.e. dust and mud/dirt everywhere, new york is ‘black’ dirty- exhaust, grit and grime on the streets. but somehow it still manages to look heavenly in its own wintery...
